Years of experience: I performed in my first film 30 years ago and then finally became a full ACTRA member in 2024.

Personal & professional philosophy:
I believe in the power of storytelling to deepen our self-understanding while giving us new lenses through which to view and experience the world. As a literature scholar, I was fascinated by the role of popular narratives in shaping the evolution of culture. As an actor, I prize the opportunity to embody and empathize with characters whose views or experiences sometimes stray far from my own. Being entrusted with the work of articulating specific human experiences to an audience is a profound responsibility and privilege that I value deeply.

Upcoming performances/ project:
In October, I will be performing in a Halloween cabaret with Queer Magique, a queer and bilingual Montreal troupe of musical theatre artists.

What is the highlight of your work?
There are so many! One of my most memorable stage experiences was originating a role in an intimate romantic comedy-drama by local Filipino playwright Revan Badingham III. On the other end of the spectrum, I’ve also enjoyed occasional gigs on big film sets, including a two-month contract as a stand-in for the last Karate Kid movie back in 2024.

Future goals:
I want to continue working in different media while expanding the range of material and roles I’m capable of performing.
