What is the highlight of your work?
I love creating flawed characters. Those who are broken and yet try, with their tiny ounce of strength left, to raise themselves from the wreckage, to take one wobbly step, then another, until they find their balance and can walk, run, fly and soar again with laughter in their souls. Because that’s just who and how we are as humans, to be able to capture that in a story (short fiction or novel or film) and have people appreciate that snapshot of life and feel the myriad of emotions I lovingly and carefully wove into it, as if they went through the journey themselves—I think that’s one of the most fulfilling things in the world: reminding humans of their heart and what it means to feel alive.
Future goals:
To write a novel/make a film.
Project brief / teaser:
My short fiction, Home, is a story about the rippling repercussions of the duplicity of human nature.
