Personal & professional philosophy:
I always believe that no matter who you are and no matter where you come from, you are a part of this universe, you share the same world culture, and you have a voice to be heard. You may have a skin colour, you may have a non-English accent, and you may have a non-Caucasian way of life, but you have a heart of a human which belongs to the same race as everyone else – the human race.

Upcoming performances/ project:
More short stories from the Southeast Asian perspectives.

What is the highlight of your work?
Writing works of fiction that trumpet the voices and perspectives of immigrants and people in the margins has been the highlight of my writing career. The popular media have perpetuated the long-held myths that caucasian, English speakers and blue-eyed perspectives, agenda, and way of life are the ‘norm’, the common-sense and the most desired ones. Well, I just want to point out that the world is an amazing place. Its nature is diverse and it thrives on multiplicity. Through my fictional narratives, I am happy to process and share the cultural identity of my background for everyone in the world to hear, see, feel, touch and perhaps taste.
